This behavior has been reported on Discord channel.
@DJ2LS noticed this and suggested checking if the compressed file is smaller than original file.

Compressed, transfered file:

To Reproduce

Take the Original file, upload it to GUI chat as to be send file.

Expected behavior

The compressed file size should be equal or smaller than original size.
