Description

@philbarker

Based on:

Create New Class

URI: ceterms:CredentialType
Label: Credential Type
Definition: Type of credential as defined by an authoritative body for use within an officially regulated qualification system.
Comment: Examples include various qualifications such as generic types of degrees, diplomas and certificates that are defined with official standing in many countries with regulations concerning who can offer them and what is required to earn them. They are often referenced against the qualification framework for the relevant jurisdiction.
Usage Note: To be used as the value of the credentialType property with the nearest matching subclass of ceterms:Credential used as the value of the type property. The CredentialType allows similar credentials from different jurisdictions to be identified, compared and contrasted; the Credential Class allows grouping of broadly similar credentials.

Modify Class

URI: ceterms:AlignmentObject
Add Comment: "Frameworks" may be interpreted broadly to include any scheme or schema for organizing and referencing resources.
Remove Usage Note: Can be used to compare concepts in concept schemes, levels in progression models, etc.
Add Usage Note: Used to compare concepts in concept schemes, levels in progression models, types of resource in an ontology etc.

Create New Properties

URI: ceterms:recognizedOfferers
Label: Recognized Offerers
Definition: Organizations that have permission to offer credentials of a specific CredentialType.
Usage Note: The value of this property should be a ceterms:Collection of ceterms:CredentialOrganizations (or similar).
Domain: ceterms:CredentialType
Range: ceterms:Collection

URI: ceterms:subclassOf
Label: Subclass Of
Definition: Indicates a broader type or class than the one being described.
Comment Similar to rdfs:subClassOf, this property means that all examples of the type of resource being described are also instances of the class indicated, however it does not imply that the subject is an rdfs:Class.
Usage Note: Used in CTDL to indicate the Credential Class (i.e. subclass of ceterms:Credential) that encompasses this type of credential.
Domain: ceterms:CredentialType
Range: xsd:anyURI

URI: ceterms:hasSubFramewokScheme
Label: Has Sub-framework scheme
Definition: Indicates a Concept Scheme used to differentiate parts of a framework or related resources that are considered to be somewhat independent.
Comment Examples include differentiating those progression levels or credential types that are relevant to different sectors, such as General Education, Higher Education and Technical / Vocational Education and Training.
Domain: ceterms:QualificationsFramework
Range: skos:ConceptScheme

URI: ceterms:indicativeCredentialType
Label: Indicative Credential Type
Definition: Category or class of credential that is typical for a level in a qualifications framework or similar progression model.
Domain: asn:ProgressionLevel
