Hi @ATPs, Thanks for proposing and implementing this feature! I think it would be great if we could add gzip support for all io modules. However, I would prefer a more unified solution to avoid code duplication. This would entail quite some refactoring. I will therefore close this PR for now and open a new issue to track progress on general gzip support. Best, |
