Objective

The primary objective of this epic is to formulate a comprehensive migration plan specifically focusing on the transfer of data from the current UIPA.org to the new project on new infrastructure. This plan will outline the steps, considerations, and potential challenges associated with ensuring a seamless transition of data while maintaining its integrity.

Background

Currently, uipa.org contains over 900 historical record requests as well as around 200 public agencies. In the new platform, we would like to maintain these records for historical reasons, as the data inside the records are probably still valid.

Tasks

• Push a banner to the existing uipa.org website to let people know we are working on a new platform
• Create a backup/snapshot of the data that currently exists on the uipa.org website
• Document the steps/commands needed to migrate the existing data over to the new platform
• Verify the migration
• • The previous platform has things linking to it, such as this. We want to preserve these links.
