What Changed

  • Updated MAGE_X_VERSION from v1.15.7 to v1.17.4
  • Updated MAGE_X_BENCHSTAT_VERSION from v0.0.0-20251208221838-04cf7a2dca90 to v0.0.0-20260112171951-5abaabe9f1bd
  • Updated GO_PRE_COMMIT_VERSION from v1.4.8 to v1.5.1

Why It Was Necessary

  • Upgrade to newer versions of build and validation tooling to access latest features and bug fixes
  • Keep dependencies current to maintain compatibility and security
  • Align with upstream releases of the mage-x, benchstat, and go-pre-commit tools

Testing Performed

  • Verify that CI workflows continue to execute successfully with updated tool versions
  • Confirm that all mage targets and pre-commit hooks function as expected
  • Validate that benchmark statistics generation works with the updated benchstat version

Impact / Risk

  • Breaking Change: None - these are CI/development tool version updates
  • Risk: Low - tool version updates are incremental and backwards compatible
  • CI Impact: May see minor differences in linting/validation behavior or output formatting with newer tool versions
