1. Download: Get the latest release from the Releases page.
2. Extract: Unzip the downloaded file to a folder of your choice.
3. Run: Double-click SnipOCR.App.exe to start the application.

Note: This application requires the .NET 8 Desktop Runtime. If it doesn't run, please download and install it here.

To unlock the full power of AI text recognition, you need a Google Gemini API Key.

1. Get an API Key: Visit Google AI Studio and create a free API key.
2. Open Settings: Right-click the SnipOCR icon in the system tray and select Settings (or click the Settings button in the main window).
3. Enter Key: Paste your API key into the "Gemini API Key" field.
4. Save: Click Save. The status should update to "Engine: Gemini AI".

• Snip & Copy: Press the global hotkey (Default: Ctrl + Shift + S) to dim the screen. Click and drag to select the text you want to copy.
• Paste: The text is now in your clipboard! Just press Ctrl + V to paste it anywhere.
• Background Mode: Close the main window to minimize it to the system tray. It will keep running in the background.
