Description
What is it about
For R beginners data importing and getting it into the appropriate format for further analyses can be one of the most time consuming and daunting tasks.
With that in mind, this step-by-step tutorial will cover the basics of data manipulation in R such as:
- Importing and saving data with different formats
- Basic commands for data transformation (e.g. subset/aggregating data by subgroup, reshaping data, merge datasets, deal with NAs, etc.)
- Basic plots
- Solve frequent errors that can occur at each stage of the process
When and where
We will meet on the 14th of February from 17:00 to 19:00 in Room ZB18 in the Zoology Building.
How to prepare
All you will need is a laptop with R installed (you can download it here).
Hope to see you there!
