The status bar background colour turns dark with dark text and icons, which makes the status bar difficult to read.

The video below shows this issue.

This happens in the below scenarios :

1. In light theme, only when the video player is visible in half screen.
2. In dark theme, at all times.

This status bar looks okay, when the video is playing in full screen mode (both light and dark theme).

Solution :

• use appropriate colours for statusbar background and text based on the theme (light/dark)
