I'm an escaped teacher of English and Drama (now in recovery after 34 years at the chalkface), a mother to two young women, and grandmother of two wonderful little ones. I am an avid reader and busy busy person. I sew, embroider, craft and am involved in online playreading during the period of global pandemic.
I did one MA in English at Warwick University, with as much creative writing as I could shoehorn in. Then I took a year out to marry off a daughter, after which I went to the Shakespeare Institute at Stratford upon Avon and did a second MA in Shakespeare and Theatre. I am a huge Early Modern drama geek and Shax fangirl.
I write fanfic in the Buffy fandom and have been very lucky to meet some wonderful people through LJ. I have helped run or mod various fandom sites in the past and was one of the founding group for WriterconUK.
If you friend me I will probably friend you back - if I know you have done so, which is not inevitable. It's nice to know a bit about who you are first, though. Most of my fandom stuff is open to read anyway, or you can find it under GillO at AO3. These days my posts are Friends Only by default, but I'm always happy to welcome new flisters.
