Stardate 2222

My plans for January were modest: work on, and if possible, finish the outline for a new project that’s running around in my head.

What did I do? I wrote about 10 sentences of outline and the rest was spent with thinking about plot and looking at maps. I have a better idea of the world-to-perhaps-be now, but I need to make maps, and for that I have to decide on some details. And of course it should make some sense. But that’s about it.

And somehow I lost my mojo for the flashfic challenges. I managed to go through with the Friday Fictioneers, but neglected Crispina’s CCC and Sammi’s WWP I wanted to do regularly. And I’m not exactly bursting with ideas for the FF either.

Maybe I need a break, but I’m a bit worried that this then would be a very long break. Last time I disappeared for a year, don’t want to do this again.

And that’s the reason why I won’t make ambitious plans for February. I’ll participate in flashfic challenges if ideas come. Work on the outline. Make maps. Find names for the characters… but I won’t set a word- or hour goal. The plan is to work on the project, nothing more.
