Detached

This is any standalone, single-unit residence that has no other units attached to it.

Choose Duplex if you have a detached home with a basement apartment unit.

Semi detached

These are two single-family homes that are attached on one side by one common wall. There's a separate deed for each half.

Townhouse/Row townhouse

These are attached single-family residences. Each townhouse or row house unit is one of a group of two or more units adjoined by common walls. This includes stacked townhouses.

Apartment

This is a multiple-unit residential building with complete independent living facilities.

Detached
