Installing Petitioner<\/strong> is quick and easy. Just follow these simple steps to get started:<\/p>\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n

The process is pretty simple:<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Step 1. Download the plugin<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

In your WordPress dashboard, go to Plugins<\/strong> \u2192 Add New<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

In the search bar, type \u201cPetitioner\u201d<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Once you see the plugin in the results, click \u201cInstall Now\u201d<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Step 2: Activate the plugin<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n

After installation is complete, the Install Now<\/strong> button will change to Activate<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Click Activate<\/strong> to enable the plugin on your site.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Step 3: Create your first petition<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n

Once activated, you\u2019ll see a new menu item in your WordPress sidebar called Petitioner<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Click on it and then hit \u201cAdd New Petition\u201d<\/strong> to create your first petition.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

There will be 3 tabs:<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Petition details<\/h3>\n\n\n\n

This is where you enter all of the detail information like the title, petition letter, and whether or not you want to send this to representatives upon submission.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Form settings<\/h3>\n\n\n\n

Specific form settings, like setting a custom goal, enabling\/disabling fields, etc. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Advanced settings<\/h3>\n\n\n\n

This area is for more advanced settings like adding a honeypot or changing the confirmation behavior of the submission.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Submissions<\/h3>\n\n\n\n

This is where your future form submissions will show up. This is also where you can export submissions as a CSV!<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Step 4: Embed the petition on a page or post<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n

After publishing your petition, you can embed it anywhere on your site using the provided shortcode.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Just paste the shortcode into any WordPress page, post, or widget where you want the petition to appear. You can also use the built-in Gutenberg block!<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Step 5: start collecting signatures<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n

Once your petition is live, visitors can start signing right away.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Each signature will be stored securely and can be viewed in your Submissions tab.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Step 6 (optional). Customize visuals and add integrations<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

Petitioner comes with a bunch of customization options. Head over to the “Settings” area to adjust the color pallete and visual elements. There will also be a tab for integrations, where you can configure anti-spam features and more.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
