Gerz Clock is a screensaver in the form of a clock which not only displays the time, but also displays relevant information such as weather forecast and latest news from selected channels. Gerz clock automatically synchronizes the clock with the desired timezone, and also lets the user to choose among four eye-candy themes. It produces a sound every hour to inform the user about the time while the screensaver is running.
Gerz clock offers five news channels to choose from, four of which are in Russian and one is in English language. This screensaver automatically connects to the selected news channel server and loads the latest news while the system is connected to the Internet. When screensaver is running, it displays titles of the latest news and illustrations. Gerz clock also provides an unmatched feature of updated weather forecasts for the chosen city, provided by GISMeteo.ru. Users can set the screensaver according to their mood. The control panel of the screensaver is user friendly so even a kid could manage it.
Finally, Gerz Clock can be a replacement to a standard screensaver, being able to display some useful information for users while their system is temporarily not in use.
