What is this about? This site is for those of you who love maps. You will find a collection of maps and pictures from interesting places in the world. Locations are considered "interesting" if there are geocoded references within Wikipedia.

What kind of information is available? For every keyword you find not only a description but also maps from various sources delivered by Google Maps, Bing Maps or OSM (Open Street Map). These maps are shown side by side so that you can compare them easily. Furthermore you find links to interesting close by locations. Currently the English version of GeoMapedia includes more than 95000 entries.
