Bruce, 11, and sister Lindy, 9, show up to school on a warm Spring morning. They discover that friendly aliens have arrived on Earth. Unfortunately, at lunch, things go awry when all of their classmates freeze in place.

    Thought I'd pick this up and see what YA was all about. This book hit all the beats. It started out a little awkwardly, but I'm also not a young adult, but picked up the pace pretty quick. Brought a nice sense of wonder to thing us older folk have grown jaded to. I felt it was written well from the perspective of a younger person. The brother and sister's dynamic worked well and the story's ending was satisfying. Daring shift in genre from what I know of this author and worth the read. Well done
