I think it is practical, but for some services that are less in the realm of 'addictive' social media apps, I found the recommendations to be limited. I consider it a nice read but not a must-read.
- Beoordeeld in Nederland op 6 mei 2015Dit boek is voor iedereen die producten ontwikkeld voor de moderne wereld, denk aan apps en websites. De vraag is niet meer of een product nuttig is en of het wel werkt, de vraag is hoe kan ik mijn product onderdeel laten uitmaken van de gewoonten van iemand?
Eyal maakt de analyse waarom sommige producten, soms even goed, de aandacht grijpen en andere falen. Hij bied een model aan, het Hook Model, waarmee men in de praktijk en concreet zijn producten deel uit kunnen laten maken van de gewoonten van zijn klanten.
Dit is een zeer interessant boek waar ik veel aan heb gehad. Ook de checklists aan het eind van elk hoofdstuk helpen bij de realisatie en finalisering van producten.

Formaat: HardcoverGeverifieerde aankoopI initially heard about Hooked via a Mobile Academy evening class towards the end of last year in London. I noticed several people on the course were reading the same yellow book and were evangelical about how useful it was. Needless to say I'm glad I took up their recommendation as the contents are invaluable! Hooked contains some fantastic case studies from Instagram to Bible apps and has provided me and my team with some great ideas for improving our product. If you are not using the phycological toolkit detailed in Hooked within your product then you will never be able to compete with the big boys. It also comes with a series of exercises at the end of each chapter which helps cement and tailor the learning to your own product. As for the book it is very easy to read and i've made it compulsory reading. Highly recommended.
