    Sometimes you can be your own worst enemy. If you put you Faith in someone and you believe what they say, you lose your self. You need to figure out who you really are. Glad she did before it was to late.

    Amy moved to Chicago to escape her small hometown after a very messy break up with her boyfriend ,who was definitely not sexually adventurous as Amy .He posted very explicit videos and photos of her on line and made her feel that there was something wrong with her that she wanted kinky sex . Quite a few of the residents shunned her as they thought that she shouldn’t have broken up with Matt as they thought he was a nice boy but infact he wasn’t a very nice person at all . Changing her surname to that of her mothers maiden name and leaving out the fact that she’d had an MBA she landed a job as PA to Blake Fairchild the owner of Fairchild hotels . Unbeknown to her her life is about to get a little bit complicated when Blakes son Carver came to work at the company with him . The couple have somewhat an unusual first meeting and as a result of what happens they decide to become friends with benefits , which they indulge in very frequently in Carver’s penthouse apartment in the Plaza Fairchild hotel where he’s living at the moment . At first they keep to their “arrangement “but you know that “arrangement” will soon change to something more . There is a little blip on the horizon though when at a business meeting she meets one of her tomentors from her home town and Carver finally finds out what happened to her to make her move to Chicago . Amy also has to face her demons when she has to go home as her mother has been involved in an accident .All in all it’s an easy going love story with lots and lots of hot sex 🔥🔥🔥.

    I love diving into books with no real expectations and coming out of it with a smile and such contentment :)

    This was a great quick read that had me hooked from beginning to end. It had just the right about of humour that will have you wanting to cover your face from secondhand embarrassment and banter between Amy and Carver that'll have you eye-rolling and smirking constantly!

    Yes, it had a few explicit scenes (for mature readers only) but I loved that the author actually had a beautifully written storyline and it wasn't just about sleeping together, even though that's how the story starts out between these two characters.

    There were realistic emotions throughout and events that will pull at your heartstrings. Although I found the ending ended a little abruptly for my taste, I did like that it wrapped up nicely with no lingering unanswered questions. The storyline flowed easily.

    Carver is probably one of the most sweetest, most caring characters I've encountered in a contemporary romance novel.

    Although Amy in general was a great heroine with no real annoying personality traits -- she was an awesome friend, funny, fragile, hard worker and always professional (well..except for that one time ;p), I did however find some of her decisions a little confusing. Just glad it didn't get out of hand or I probably would've started disliking her.

    This is my first book by Cleary James and it was an enjoyable read, it flowed seamlessly. I'll just have give her other books a go in the near future :)

    Note that the story does touch on a sensitive subject, but if like reading adult contemporary romance books then I say give this one a go!

    Basically a Mills & Boon with more explicit sex - but none the worst for that. Amy & Carver make engaging 'leads' - and the underlying 'problem' which nearly tears them apart is different, and well thought out (and is a clear message on the potential ills of social media!). It's well written, and well edited - which is more than can be said for certain other more famous books in this genre! I enjoyed it - and I'm hoping this author will be producing more in the future; including the promised sequel to her previous book 'The Endgame'.
