Almost Ruined (Men of Evercrisp Orchard Book 3) (English Edition) Kindle-editie
Mutual destruction makes way for hope and healing in Almost Ruined, the third and final book in the new dark, why choose, college hockey romance series from bestselling author Abby Millsaps.
I told Mercer I’d never forgive him, and I meant every word of that promise.
He hurt Tytus in the most awful, deleterious way while Noah just stood by and let it happen.
All three men in my life have contributed to the toxic, unnecessary agony of our collective heartache, but I’m the one who brought them together. This is all my fault. Everything is ruined, and I have no one to blame but myself.
I almost captured that once-in-a-lifetime kind of love, and I was lucky enough to experience it three times over. But almost has never been enough.
I’ll miss Mercer’s bold, dominant attentiveness just as much as I’ll yearn for Noah’s sweet, gentle brand of care. I’ll spend the rest of my life craving Ty’s intense possessiveness.
It all ends now.
I refuse to choose between them, so I’m opting out entirely. I’d rather break my own heart and mourn the loss of them for the rest of my life than let them hurt each other ever again.

Beoordeeld in Nederland op 25 februari 2026Formaat: Kindle-editieAlmost Ruined by Abby Millsaps is the powerful third and final installment in the Men of Evercrisp Orchard series—and what an emotional rollercoaster it is.
We pick up right where the brutal cliffhanger from book two left off, and those first few chapters had me in an absolute chokehold. The angst? Off the charts. The heartbreak? Relentless. But every ounce of pain serves a purpose, because this story is about trauma, healing, accountability, and ultimately, love hard-won.
This is a dark why choose romance centered around Sawyer, Tytus, Mercer, and Noah. While the series has collegiate hockey elements, this installment places very little focus on the sport itself. Instead, the spotlight is fully on the emotional aftermath—on groveling, taking accountability, and confronting the demons each of these characters carries.
And they all have demons.
What makes this book so compelling is how raw and flawed these characters are. The personal growth across the entire series has been done beautifully, but here we truly see it come full circle. Watching them face their downfalls, own their mistakes, and actively choose to be better—for Sawyer and for each other—was incredibly moving.
Tytus especially deserves a mention. I love how Abby made us question everything about him in the beginning. The way she crafted his redemption arc? So well executed. It felt earned, not rushed. The groveling and accountability hit exactly the way it needed to.
One of my favorite aspects was how these very different men, shaped by their individual trauma and pain, ultimately come together as a unit. The way they learn to trust one another, support one another, and form that relationship with Sawyer is done with so much care. Their bonding feels authentic, and the emotional payoff is incredibly satisfying.
This book does explore heavier themes and intense scenes, so definitely check your trigger warnings beforehand. But if you’re ready for the angst, the healing, and the slow, beautiful rebuilding of trust, the happily ever after is absolutely worth it.
Emotional, messy, redemptive, and deeply satisfying—Almost Ruined is the perfect, hard-earned conclusion to this unforgettable series.

Formaat: Kindle-editieGeverifieerde aankoopWow what a journey these characters went on through this series. After the ending in book two everything felt really helpless and I was excited to see what it took to bring everyone together.
There are some really big triggers mentioned at the beginning of this book so please check them because they are very much on screen and up close. Your mental health matters.
I did not expect Sawyer to ghost all three men before Ty was even released from the hospital. I knew she was angry and upset but it was not something I expected. Though when we got more of her backstory it did make sense. The events that had the three men on the same page for the first time were awful but it really opened the door for them to move forward.
The winter storm gave a perfect forced proximity situation. Sawyer finally speaking the truth about needing all three men and asking Ty to try was really the start of healing. I think Ty and Sawyer giving their truths went a long way to everyone healing. Though they all seriously need more therapy. Lol.
This is four broken people finding where their pieces fit together. Ty really grew tremendously in this book and I know the softness from Noah and being honest with everyone really helped. I definitely do not think Ty and Sawyer alone would have been a healthy relationship but the four of them balance out.
This book got nice and spicy. I love how their first true group scene was Ty in control of everything. He may have been inexperienced but he found his power in the cuck chair. The spicy scenes were fantastic.
What a great way to end this series. I truly believe that without Lawyer's spiral and being snowed in they never would have made it.

Formaat: Kindle-editieGeverifieerde aankoopThis book pulled my heartstrings in EVERY direction (as I knew it would after the ending of the 2nd book). Sawyer, Tytus, Noah, and Mercer took me on the most intense ride, and I needed to take a breather after I finished to process my feelings because, again, INTENSE!
Each character has so much trauma to process within themselves and with each other, their happy ending was hard fought.

I might have overhyped myself for this book. I just really loved the book 2 so much. Not to say that this wasn’t a good book but it just didn’t compare. It’s hard sometimes closing/finishing off a trilogy. Making sure that all loose ends get answered and that you create something that readers will enjoy. There were parts in the book that really made me question the direction it was going in. While it might not have been a plot that threw me off, but more of a vibe switch. It just felt like each male main character really trauma dumped in their own special way. Which I wasn’t the biggest fan of. I will miss the world that this story was in. Thank you for this trilogy while I didn’t care too much for the ending. I enjoyed myself the entire ride.

Formaat: PaperbackGeverifieerde aankoopTo first start off, this is book 3 in a trilogy. It cannot be read as a standalone. If you are sensitive to certain topics, please make sure to review the trigger warnings for each book. If you’re like me, I enjoy jumping into a book with blinders on!
Now let’s get to the fun part - this entire series was just down right addictive! I could not put it down and was begging for more. Would I totally be okay with a short story with these four that was all HEA? Yes, yes I would! There is just something about all the different personalities and dynamics that make this group work ❤️
And don’t get me started on the spice…HOT HOT HOT!
