After 26 years, I am finally retiring my professional student badge and entering the workforce. My parents cheered. I, for one, am ecstatic that I found a job where I can actually use my degree(s). But, why did no one tell me about this office air? it’s absolutely brutal. We know I take pride in being a beauty connoisseur — and I was totally taken aback looking in the mirror after my first full office day.

It took me a couple days to rework my makeup routine. We cannot have a patchy complexion, chapped lips, and an oily T-zone on the job. The super power air conditioning has nothing on me now that I’m super generous with a hydrating SPF (this one from Versed is fab). You need the magic of a translucent loose setting powder to keep the oily zones in check (Laura Mercier or One/Size for me). These are my weapons and this is war. We’ve got to serve corporate baddie all day, okay?
