<\/p>\nLeFAMSoL was a Lifelong Learning Program collaboration with the University of Peloponnese in Greece, the Koc University in Turkey and the University of Florence in Italy.<\/p>\n

LeFAMSol was a curriculum development project for hard to reach target groups of adults, oriented towards cultural mediation and peer training. The project focused on Female African Migrant Groups, including sex workers, aiming initially to create a pool of human resources that can operate gender\/ethnically delineated “Self-Help Desks”, a network of solidarity consisted of immigrant women from Africa, NGOs, institutions, immigrant communities and the public sector. Therefore, knowledge building and sharing was geared towards self-sustainability, capitalizing upon ethnic networking to achieve a multiplier effect. At the same time, the program aimed to educate and simultaneously empower women to acquire the skills necessary for the proper management, maintenance, expansion and promotion of the network as an independent reference point information for all young African women.<\/p>\n
The program involved network management training of 45 women originating from Africa, aged between 18-60 years old. Other partners of the project were the Institute for Professional Qualification and Requalification (ECAP), the Aids Coalition to Unleash Power, \u0394\u03a1\u0391\u03a3\u0395 HELLAS (ACT UP \u0394\u03a1\u0391\u03a3\u0395 HELLAS), the Centre for the Advancement of Research & Development in Educational Technology (CARDET), and the Institute for International Relations (IDIS).<\/p>\n
