The FUTURE program is designed to support students whose gender identities are historically underrepresented in physics. But we accept applications from any students who would benefit from our program.
While FUTURE is hosted by Caltech’s Physics department, acceptance or non-acceptance to FUTURE has no bearing on a student’s chances of acceptance to Caltech’s graduate program.
ABOUT FUTURE 2025
FUTURE, held on campus, is a two day, all-expenses-paid event supported by Caltech, the Division of Physics, Mathematics and Astronomy, and the Heising-Simons Foundation. Participants have an opportunity to receive personalized guidance on how to navigate the graduate school application process through mini-workshops, attend panel discussions on topical research areas as well as on graduate student life, and engage in intimate big science discussions with Caltech faculty. FUTURE 2025 will be our eighth cohort, and our seventh event hosted on campus. Caltech hosted 33 undergraduate students on campus during FUTURE 2023.
