Yes! Free is fully open source under AGPL-3.0. View, modify, and contribute on GitHub. Pro is commercial and adds features on top of the open source core.
AGPL-3.0 means you can freely use, modify, and self-host Fusionaly. If you modify the code and run it as a service for others, you must share your changes. For personal or internal business use, you can modify it however you like. The license ensures the project stays open while preventing competitors from creating closed-source forks.
Pro is coming soon. When available, you'll buy a license, then switch to the Pro Docker image using Fusionaly Manager. Your data and configuration stay intact.
Moving parts. Plausible runs PostgreSQL plus ClickHouse—two databases, multiple containers, config files to tune. Fusionaly is one SQLite file, one container. That means: backups are just copying a file, moving servers is trivial, and you can query your data with any SQLite tool. No 3am alerts about ClickHouse. Install it and forget it exists.
We’re cookieless by default and designed for aggregated analytics. IPs are anonymized and discarded; sessions are derived from anonymous signatures (salted hashes) that keep visits private while still measuring activity.
No. You serve the script from your own domain, so ad blockers won’t block it.
You choose. Use the one-line automated installer (with built-in updater) or run the Docker image directly. Then paste a single script tag on your site and you’re live.
No. Fusionaly uses a single embedded file based on SQLite with a custom architecture that manages capacity and reliability much better than plain SQLite. Simple ops, easy exports, portable backups—copy the file, snapshot the VM, or sync it off-box. Learn more about the architecture.

Yes. Track multiple sites from one install. You can also run separate instances for clean isolation if you prefer.
Fusionaly keeps working—it's fully self-hosted. The Free edition is already open source, so it will always be available. Pro users keep their Docker image and data, and the license validates offline. Your analytics don't depend on our servers.
You get essentials: page views, sessions, referrers, UTMs, pages, devices, locations, and custom events. Outputs are aggregated metrics by design. If you choose to send custom data that’s personal, configure it responsibly.
AI is optional and BYO-AI key. Only your natural-language question is sent to the provider; the generated SQL runs locally against your database. Your analytics data stays on your server.
Fusionaly runs well on a small VPS (512 MB RAM is enough to start). Backups are simple: the automated updater makes a daily backup of your database and config, but we recommend using your provider's VM snapshots for an extra layer of safety. Updates are boring by design: use the installer's updater or docker pull the latest image and restart. Learn about the custom architecture.
