QUESTION TO ALL YOU ICONMAKERS OUT THERE

Does the idea of a Video Game 20in20 appeal to you? I'm considering making one and I don't know how well it would go over. The idea being that instead of just one series (Tales, Final Fantasy, Zelda, etc), people could claim any game/character/pairing from any series or standalone game. More variety and gives people with more obscure gaming tastes a way to participate in icontests with games they like.

So, I cosplay. Or at least I try to cosplay.

This summer I'm headed out to A-Kon with powercorrupts and my original plan was to go as Tieria Erde from Gundam 00. But the more I play FFXIII the more I really want to try cosplaying as Lightning.

I'm kind of tall for a girl so cosplaying female characters is usually a pain in the ass because I tower over the rest of the tiny and adorable girls cosplaying the same character as me. (If anyone recalls my Kairi cosplay from AX where I looked nearly a foot taller than the other girls in the KH photos). Lightning is actually tall! So I don't feel so uncomfortable cosplaying as her. (I also wanted to cosplay Judith from Tales of Vesperia for this same reason but lacked the tan to pull it off.)

The problem I'm facing this this: Lightning's costume is definitely more complicated in the detailing but Tieria's is harder than it looks when it comes down to the sewing.

Do I suck it up and go for the ridiculous detailing job or do I scream and throw things while I sew two/three tones of color into EVERY PIECE OF CLOTHING.
