My Stack

My core stack is Svelte 5, SvelteKit, Astro, Supabase, and Coolify, as well as DuckDB and R / Python (in marimo) for data tasks. I prefer the Web Platform, esp. modern-day HTML & CSS, for DX-, accessibility-, and performance-reasons.

I love to experiment with the newest tools and patterns as long as they pass Occam’s razor.

You can probably sense that I’m quite invested in Svelte.

PSA: Before Svelte 4 I was just grateful for Svelte (v3) enabling me to transition (post-Army) from a social-science-data-stuff degree to paid web development (kick-started by @11ty.dev). With Svelte 5 and this year‘s async + remote functions madness (what a sprint, eh!) I’m a 🧡 Svelte Ultra now.

My Profile

I graduated in Social Sciences / Computational Social Science, completed classes and certifications in Human-Computer Interaction (HCI), Statistical Analysis,Geocomputation, Design Thinking, and Natural Language Processing.

So far, I’ve worked as a Data Engineer, Tech Lead and Technical Project Manager in the Digital Rights / NGO sector, and as a Full Stack Developer in Interactive / Data-Driven Journalism.

My broader approach is pragmatic Design & Sprint thinking and I bring with me years of experience in working with data (incl. geodata / spatial).
