Question:
Renewals & Returns
Our answer:
Renewals
- You may renew FSU Library and UBorrow books from your library account.
- Faculty get unlimited renewals for FSU Libraries owned materials. FSU students and staff may renew FSU Libraries owned books up to 5 times. If someone requests a book you have on loan, you will no longer be able to renew the item.
- For information about renewing ILL books, please visit the Interlibrary Loan page.
Returns
- Our curbside service is for pick ups only, not returns. Please return all library books to any of the book drop options: inside Strozier, inside Dirac, on the front steps of Strozier, or the outside book drop on Collegiate Loop.
- Any item checked out from a Scholar Support Desk (Course Reserves, study room keys, technology, etc.) must be returned at the desk it was checked out from.
- The drop boxes are routinely checked Monday-Friday 8am-5pm. If you've returned an item, but still see it listed on your account after 48 business hours, please fill out this Claimed Returned Form.
- If you've accidentally returned a personal book instead of a library book in the drop box, please contact lib-recalls@fsu.edu. immediately. If it has been more than 48 hours check at the security desk lost and found.
- Registered users of the Library Express Delivery Service can submit a request to have their books picked up from their department office.
- Books can be mailed to FSU Libraries at the address listed below; however, you assume the risk and responsibility if those items are lost or damaged in transit.
