DIR 210: Individual DIRFloortime® Mentoring for Professionals and Paraprofessionals

Mentoring is an important part of the DIRFloortime learning journey. There are several reasons people choose to engage in mentoring. These include:

  • To expand DIRFloortime competency;
  • To engage in a self-reflective learning process;
  • As part of the Fast Track program requirements; and/or
  • To complete the requirements for a DIRFloortime Professional Certificate after taking DIR 201, 202, or 203 and having received an "Incomplete".

For each of the reasons for obtaining mentoring indicated above, there are different requirements and restrictions about who you can obtain as a mentor.  Here are the guidelines:

  • If you are seeking mentoring simply to expand DIRFloortime competency or to engage in a self-reflective learning process, you can go to any DIR Expert you wish for mentoring.  You can obtain mentoring from the ICDL DIR Institute by clicking “Next” below and completing the registration for DIR 210 or you can find a growing list of DIR Experts that provide mentoring on the DIR Directory by clicking here.
  • If you are enrolling in Fast Track, you must obtain mentoring through the ICDL DIR Institute by clicking “Next” below and completing the registration for DIR 210.  That is your only option.
  • If you are seeking mentoring because you received an "Incomplete" at the end of your last DIRFloortime Certificate course (DIR 201, 202, or 203), you can either obtain mentoring through the ICDL DIR Institute by clicking “Next” below and completing the registration for DIR 210 or you can obtain mentoring from a DIR Expert and Training Leader specifically approved for this purpose by clicking here.

Please note, the ICDL DIR Institute has very limited capacity to provide mentoring, so DIR 210 may be closed from time to time.
