The concept is this:
- Submit a short prompt for a fic you wish to receive.
- In return, you will receive a prompt from another writer and gift them a fic!
- Everyone is giving the gift of a fic and receiving a gift of fic!
This is our (mods) first time doing this so please have patience with us ;)
Deadline to submit your prompt: Nov 19
Deadline to post: Dec 28
Rules:
Please submit only once. We hope to have a 1:1 ratio for an even exchange.
Please specify if you are requesting smut and if you write smut
Fics are not required to be holiday themed and creativity is encouraged!
If you cannot complete your fic by the posting date (12/28), please notify this blog at least 7 days prior (12/21) so we can look for a replacement writer.
Please try to stay in the 800 - 2500 word range (obviously we want you to go where the muse takes you, just don’t feel obligated to write more)
Can submit via Ask box or Submit box but try not to send as a private message since we may not see that notification.
Submissions:
Must include at least 1 way to contact you (tumblr, email, other socials are all fine). We will NOT share this information publicly unless given permission to do so.
Must include either your AO3 or Tumblr username (both is fine). This will be shared with your Gift Writer and used to tag you when they post.
Must include whether or not you write smut. We don’t want anyone to feel pressured to write something they are not comfortable writing. All genres are great!
Must include a prompt of no more than 6 words and specify whether smut is ok or not.
Please specify if you are open to being a “back-up writer” for those who opt out
