Welcome 2 my burrow
Helloo I'm Francois (aka fr4nsyz), a computer science student based in Canada focused on systems and security engineering.
Currently a Software Engineering Intern at IBM, where I work on threat detection and response pipelines and security-related infrastructure.
I like working close to the machine, i.e. network programming, operating systems, and distributed systems. Most of my projects revolve around building things that move data securely and efficiently.
Technologies I frequently work with include Go, Rust, TypeScript, and C++ when I'm feeling masochistic.
Outside of coursework and actual work, I spend time building and experimenting with:
- encrypted file services
- steganography tooling
- threat detection pipelines
- networking and protocol experiments
- the occasional IoT hardware project
This site is where I keep notes, write about projects, and document things I learn along the way.
If you're interested in collaborating or just want to talk about systems or security, feel free to reach out!
