For this custom framing order, we got a chance to work\u00a0with a local equipment company in Williamsport,\u00a0Hermance Machine Co. This company actually produces\u00a0the equipment necessary to strip frame lengths and carve\u00a0moulding profiles! The images themselves are pictures of\u00a0the framing equipment that they produced about 50 years\u00a0ago. Things have progressed since then, but they are still\u00a0producing updated versions of these machines today. The\u00a0customer went with a very simple design for this multi-opening piece. We used a simple finished oak frame, a\u00a0grey-brown mat to accentuate the equipment in the\u00a0pictures, and the pristine museum glass to avoid glare and\u00a0make it easier for everyone to read.<\/p>\n
