@kan-ibal I also wanted to try the geoclue provider, but I didn't find a .deb/apt package in UT 24.04-1.x to install geoclue 1. That's why we only tested geoclue 2. (I tried to make it work also with the remote provider, without success)

Interesting. As soon as I restarted the daemon with 'sudo systemctl daemon-reload' and 'sudo systemctl restart ofono', a flood of plain text messages instantly came in. They're all dated for now, but they're probably from over the course of the last several days. The last text message that my phone thinks I received was three days ago, 1/12/26. That's not all of a sudden because everybody texted me all at once this moment, especially at this time of the night. Hopefully these logs contain some super magic. I hadn't had a chance until now to get to this.

@Ernst-Jan15 said in Welkom, nieuwkomers! Stel jezelf gerust even voor.: I miss a browser that functions wel and accepts a .cvs file with my passwords. Ik gebruik op mijn laptop KeePassXC en combineer dat met de UT app die daar sinds kort voor is. Werkt behoorlijk goed. The oher thing I miss is a working WhatsApp. WhatsApp needs aphone version of WhatsApp to let me use is in a webbrowswer. I understand that waydroid is able to run google apps but I do not understand how to activate this. The program is not running and crashes when trying to run a second time after fist install... I think for now these ar my most urgent problems. I understand that some of the problems could be fixed by going back to the last stabel version of UT. I will try when my Pixel 8 is back from repairs after I made a stupid mistake trying to flash an oter versin of Cynogen... Op welke telefoon draai je UT?

said in Ubuntu Touch as second operating system: sudo system-image-cli -v --switch 24.04-1.x/arm64/android9plus/rc And if I try to do "Format data / factory reset" from the recovery after that, I got "ERROR: recovery: Read state file failed: No such file or directory" Nothing changed in UT after that, I still have an old OS version, it resets only Volla OS

Hello I have troubles with UT dual-boot upgrade. UT just reboots to recovery after upgrade was requested. I have seen some relevant suggestions, but not sure how to fix the problem. Can someone maybe suggest? Here is the thread https://forums.ubports.com/topic/10432/ubuntu-touch-as-second-operating-system/7?_=1768510436778

@mirroronthewall Yes, this is surprisingly useful, as it means you don't always have to whip out a hardware keyboard, which defeats the point of the small form factor of a phone. Missing support for modifier keys is a big issue when using GUI apps in Libertine, as touch-to-mouse conversion often doesn't behave as it should and can get you 'stuck', so a fallback to keyboard shortcuts is just as necessary there as it may be useful in general: actually, your idea of creating macros for anything seems to solve many problems (including mine) at once, so congrats - now we just need to figure out how! The closest I've found is Ambot Installer: Hacks and Mods, although I need to set up a persistent amd64 QEMU instance on my arm64 laptop before I can allow myself to experiment with it freely (it's the only way I got the installer working). Other tools may be available but I have not been able to surface them yet, I will update this thread as I learn more about the issue and potential solutions. [UPDATE] Here is a list of interesting posts related to this problem, which may be a good starting point for building a bridge towards the solution: These are previous conversations on the repos which appear to have been abbandoned: https://github.com/ubports/keyboard-component/issues/96 gitlab.com/ubports/apps/terminal-app/-/issues/78 https://gitlab.com/ubports/development/core/lomiri-keyboard/-/issues/96 Instead, here are some useful links related to Malakiboard, which should be a good foundation to build macro functionality on: https://github.com/kugiigi/jerk-click https://github.com/kugiigi/jerk-installer https://github.com/kugiigi/jerk-packages

I think I have finally figured out why some nodes cannot be DMed. The fix for this will likely not be in the initial OpenStore release (undergoing review right now), but it will be part of the first update after.

There's a postmarketOS port for your device, have you tried looking at their flashing configs for your device?

@uwahl I understand your concern but that is sadly not related to my post I'm talking about the virtual touchpad when connected to an external display.

@uxes That is a great program, but I heard that ATL relies on GTK. Which is not integrated into UT. And besides, list of supported apps is limited compared to Waydroid.
