Feature Request: Catch up autodownload mode
-
This is a common scenario:
- I subscribe to a podcast that has been around for a while.
- I turn off auto download because before I listen to current episodes I want to start from the beginning.
- I have to manually add the first (or which ever one I want to start with) episode to the Up Next queue, and then keep adding them manually when I finish each one. I don’t want to add all of them to Up Next at once because I don’t want to listen to 30 or whatever episodes of the same podcast in a row.
- Once I catch up, I turn on auto download.
This is what I would like: have an “Auto Catchup Download” option that automatically downloads and adds to the Up Next queue the oldest unlistened to episode as soon as an episode from that podcast is marked as listened to from the Up Next list.

Thank you for the suggestion! I’ve forwarded this along to our development team to take into consideration for possible future development!

Would be nice to be able to create smart playlists that would automatically add X amount of the oldest episodes of a playlist for catching up. The episodes would need to be interleaved or something (maybe a few options here) so you don’t just get them in date order and likely get 100 episodes from one podcast followed by 100 from another.
