@leocg when I go to Reset Sync I'm being directed to the same page that says "You have no sync data stored. Sign in to Opera to start syncing, and access your bookmarks and other browser data from all your devices." which was the same page I mentioned.
I do not have a set phrase and when I try to create one, as I explained, I'm running into the warning "Sync has encountered a problem". And then when I click at that warning nothing happens. I'm directed to nowhere. I cannot figure out where to go from there.
So I turned the thing off completely.

I'm on Opera One(version: 129.0.5823.65) (arm64) and macOS 15.7.5.
For the first time I'm trying to sync my data (bookmarks etc) and it's a really bad direction experience so far.

It should've been able to be set up from Settings->Synchronization->Advanced sync settings but as always this is not working flawlessly.

The customized sync options can be selected but the place to reset the passphrase directs you to here which gives no explanation and does nothing. You'd think this is the place to reset the passphrase. Nope.

I somehow was able to find a place to reset it (I hope I did at least) but now I'm getting a warning dot on my user icon (top right) saying "Sync has encountered a problem". And then when I click at that warning nothing happens. I'm just getting directed to account/edit-profile page. No explanation as to what problem the sync has run into, no explanation as to what to do from then on.

What could be causing this and how do I proceed? I'm honestly so fed up.

Opera decided to remove The Great Suspender (I don't follow news about these so no way of me knowing it); but it also made me lose all of my tabs that were suspended.

This is the umpteenth time that I'm losing all of my work because of something Opera related with no way of getting it back.
No, they weren't in the session buddy. No, they're not in history. No, I cannot find them in files and decrypt. No, Marvellous Suspender trick doesn't work. I tried everything because this is only one of the countless times Opera screws me over.

Countless updates with useless features, never listening to feedback, always losing my work, turning the simplest settings back or on require reading through many people figuring things out; I'M done. It's been years with zero user focused and proper improvement on this browser and I'm done.

@NazzMuk Definitely a bad design choice as others before.

Also for those looking where it can be turned off in settings; while the description in the blog is "Tab Footprints", it's not by that name in the settings lol it's "Show traces on most recently used tabs".

I came here for this issue that I've been having for months and I found out that multiple people have been having it since 2023 and nothing has been done about it. It's 2024 now and I'm still having Opera crash when moving tabs in the same window or to a different window. It's not about any specific site either, it happens at any moment with any tab. Most of the time I can move them, but every now and then it crashes. Just tonight it happened 3 times. Sad to see what this browser has become now...

Hello, in addition the my previous post (which I think is in review process, therefore I cannot currently see it to edit it any further); not only all of my passwords have disappeared, now no passwords are being saved!

I tried saving a few, including this forum, after this incident; but now I realize that none of them are getting saved.

And yes, the browser asks me if I want to save the password, I click yes, and when I go to the password list, there is nothing there!

Not only I lost all of my previous data, I can't save new ones too!

I have done everything that was previously suggested; I have enabled all extensions, restarted, etc...

Please, I just want to save my data. Anybody?

Hello! I'm on a Mac and my Opera is up do date (Version:68.0.3618.125) but as of today, all of my passwords have disappeared! I'm seriously panicking here, there were some among them I hadn't backed up and don't know how to get back.

My laptop wasn't even shut down, it was in sleep mode when I went away and I re-opened it today to find myself logged out of my commonly visited sites. The autofill didn't work, so I checked Settings -> Passwords and the entire list was empty!!

Only the ones I checked "never saved" are recorded, all other saved places are gone.

This is really important to me, can anybody please help?
