Hello, it's been one or two months now that picture in picture stopped working

it was working flawlessly till one day the video player stopped being always on top and decided to always stay in the background

i decided then to disable the picture in picture mode and now there is now way to turn it back on, meaning that no button is present, even if the option is turned on

any way to have it back?

for the record i am on fedora workstation 44 but this has been happening on fedora 43 already...
