I am new to the A DJ link and I am having an issue. Randomly the controller will freeze and I will be unable to select any buttons on the hardware controller. I can move the Feders on the iPad, but no output is being sent to the lights as it is frozen in its last state. I have two universe’s connected. I am using wireless DMX connectors. I have the transmitters connected to the hardware and the receivers connected to The first picture in the line. Does anyone have a solution for the freezing of the unit?

Are you connecting the app to the board wirelessly or hardwired?
If wirelessly, your wireless DMX is likely to be the culprit, unless they are a good 10 feet or more away from the board?
I am connected via the hardwire connection but I did notice the the WiFi is also connected. Can that cause an issue?

You can always try to ensure the wifi is off and see if that helps.

Is there a certain firmware that is more stable?

Hi, my team told me to have you test this:
Set the wifi off on the tablet, if it still freezes, then disconnect the cable and reconnect it or power cycle the tablet. if that still happens power cycle the controller.
This should show us where the problem lies.

Ok so after testing I have noticed I have issues when I am directly connected. Even with the WiFi turned off. Seems to be working fine when I am in WiFi mode. Do you think that is a hardware issue or maybe the usb cable is bad?
Hi, so yes the next round of testing would be the cable and then try a different iPad if you can. if it stays the same then it could be the connector on the board itself. If it's the connector, then we'd have you talk to the service department.

Sorry it has taken so long to respond. It looks like it was the iPad that was causing the issues. Everything works fine on my iPad Pro but on my regular iPad is when I get the glitches when plugged in via USB cable. Is there a model of iPad that is recommended? I do not want to use my iPad Pro as I use that to mix audio and it connects to a different network.
Hi, what model year is your regular iPad from?
I would say the newer the better for non-pro iPads.

i have also a Problem with The adj link device. The wlan turns off, so my iPad ist Not connected. No. Chance to Connect again. Online reboot link works. But After some time, several minutes The wlan turns off again. It is then not visible in the wlan List in my iPad. This Problem is new, and so i cant use The link in eventtime. Each reboot takes about 15 sekonds, including Blackout of The lights….

So, tested Now during 30 minutes. I left the Device on, without using.
The Problem appeared when i left the link for a time in no use, so it went down and the restart eG reconnect did Not work. And now it is still connected when reusing After 30 minutes (via wlan). I think and Hope that the Bug is deleted. I will Test it the next days with some light devices, this test was solo, only the link. But i think this is Not important.
Thanks for Support, i will give Feedback from the next Event. The Summertime is ending and now i have more lightevents in Autumn and Winter. We do Work with many Lights, often Outdoor or in Churches, or both, Musicals or Shows where you have to light up on the Point, makes lot of fun, many People do See eG have Seen it. It takes time to install and to Programm the Shows, and there is no Choice, in Eventime it Must! have to Work!! Sometimes with severall Laser on top.
So it is very important that the link works without bug, i Need Tools that i can Trust for 100%… or i Must change…
