Moats.app is a platform designed to help token projects easily create their own reward systems, called Moats, where holders can earn through staking, locking, or burning. Projects choose the features they want, launch a Moat in minutes, and manage rewards directly for their community, while keeping every token ecosystem fully independent.

At its core, Moats gives any project a simple way to add real utility to their token. Whether a team operates with fees, emissions, revenue sharing, or simply wants a clean staking experience, a Moat can support it. The platform works with common token types like ERC20, ERC314, ERC404, and LP tokens, making it accessible without requiring technical expertise or custom contract development.

Moats also integrates seamlessly with Snapshot Labs, allowing staked positions to double as voting power. This turns each Moat into both a reward engine and a governance system, enabling projects to run community decisions in a transparent, secure, and fair way that reflects true token participation. The mission of Moats has always been to move beyond isolated, one-off staking systems. Instead, Moats brings everything into a shared environment where projects of any size can engage their communities, gain visibility, and rely on a professionally designed, secure framework rather than building their own staking or governance contracts from scratch.

This vision has been built over time. V1 launched in February 2025. V2 followed in July 2025 with major improvements. And now, after nearly a year of continuous development, iteration, and community feedback, V3 arrives in December 2025. It is fully permissionless and fully audited.

With V3, Moats reaches the stage the team has been working toward since the beginning: an open, trustless, instantly deployable system that any team can use with confidence. This release transforms Moats into a reliable foundation where projects can launch staking, manage governance, and engage their holders without custom code, technical overhead, or security concerns.

V3 removes the barriers that once kept smaller teams from offering advanced staking or community features. And V3 is only the beginning. Next comes a major expansion of the Moats ecosystem: the upgraded Fort Score system, the launch of decentralized governance powered by the MOATS token, and a native $MOATS emission and voting gauge system that lets the community direct rewards and shape the evolution of the platform. These upgrades will transform Moats into a fully decentralized, community-driven network where governance, rewards, visibility, and participation all work together.
