Another Merlin picspam for merlin_land . This time it focuses on the four-legged friends/transportation of Camelot. There is also some pretty scenery.

A picspam done for merlin_land

This picspam is a little tribute to Merlin's famous scarves/ neckerchief things and the way he color coordinates them

Starting with perhaps the most classic, the red scarf on blue combo. It's the most featured in promos and the one Merlin chooses to wear for his big arrival.

And here's the blue scarf on red. I'm quite fond of this light shade of blue he's wearing. You can't see in that particular cap, but in the second pic he's even further accessorizing it with a purple flower.

This is a new look. To my knowledge, Merlin has only worn the blue on blue in one episode. In fact, I could only find two scenes to use for the picspam.

I've been taking the time to spruce up my LJ. There's a new layout celebrating the PC trailer.(Good trailer, except for the White Witch?)
Funny how it kind of has spring colors, and it's almost Christmas time. xD

1.My base was a bit blurry so I sharpened it tp 50.

2.Go to Color Balance and put in the settings:
shadows:0,0,14
midtones:0,-30,0
highlights:-100,18,0

3.Go to hue/saturation.Put the settings:
Master saturation:27
Red saturation:56

4.Duplicate the layer and desaturate it.Erase the desaturated layer so that only the balloons are left.

Duplicate this layer and deactivate the duplicate for a while.(click the eye button)
5.Go to Colorize.Settings:
Hue:220
Saturation:100
Lightness:47

6.Duplicate this layer and set the new layer to overlay.Set the master saturation to 100.

7.Now take the remaining desaturated layer and take it to the top.Erase the darker balloons so that you can see the blue underneath.Like so.

8.Then go to colorize and put settings.
Hue:220
Saturation:100
Lightness:-12

9.Duplicate that layer, set to overlay,go to hue/saturation, and put in the settings
lightness:70
saturation:100

10.Almost done!Merge all the layers.Then duplicat twice. Set the first duplicate to screen 20 and the second to overlay 40.

11.I put this texture in a new layer and rotated it 90 degrees CW.I set it to screen and erased so that the three dots were left.
