I've already designed a new set of celeb themed icons. I'd like to make some more, but I've been sick this week. I was luckly enough to recieve my second dose of the Covid-19 vaccine, but it's made me feel pretty terrible since Saturday. I'm hoping to get better soon. I usually don't stay sick for very long, but I'm mid 30's now, so that could be one reason why I haven't bounced back as quickly as I'd like.

Today, I share with you 48 stock image icons I made in Photoshop CS6. It's been so long since I've created any icons, so I hope you all like them! Also, I added blank bases of the stock images I used in case you'd like to make icons from them :)

Cleaning Up

I'll be cleaning up by DeviantArt page @ Sheerperfume, so I can post all of my resources (Photoshop Brushes/Image packs & Textures) there. After that, I'll start making some free icons and posting resources here first. I'm excited about making graphics again. It's been so long since I've been in the habit of creating anything. Depression and anxiety sucks! But starting today, I'm trying to move forward. I've been mostly unemployed this past year, and even with the free time I've had, I've not created anything because I felt so mentally exhausted. I hope things change for the better. I'm working on creating a YouTube channel. I'll post more about that later :)

Been so long since I've posted here. Yesterday, I started thinking about LiveJournal and it brought back a lot of memories from the 00's, and so I think I'll start making graphics again. I'm rusty, but maybe inspiration will come to me. I've got a lot going on in my personal/home life and it really suppresses my creativity, but I'm gonna give this a shot! Stay tuned folks. Feel free to post requests of LJ Icons you'd like to see, or other graphics (banners?).

I haven't posted here in 6 years. I stopped making graphic resources when I got busy with college and taking care of my sister's children. But, I've started a web/graphic design blog, and I want to make photoshop brushes, textures, psds again. I know that livejournal doesn't bring in the traffic anymore, but I'll post what I can here, and maybe something will come of it.

Been in a graphics making mood. I never did update with brushes. Maybe tomorrow? I am working on making premade layouts and uploading a portfolio or something. There is so much I wanna do. I want to save money. I am aiming for 5,000. So hey...if you want a layout, I charge 10 bucks.

life doesn't make sense

Earlier this evening I found out that one of my friends from church has passed away. She had a heart attack last night. She was my Young Womens counselor at church, and also my Sunday school teacher for several years. I am so shocked. I thought she was healthy. It's not fair. Her youngest child is 15. What will she do? I just can't make sense of it now. I don't know what to say to her children. I have hardly been to church these past few months. She wasn't there on Sunday. I didn't get to say goodbye.

Backgrounds/Patterns - can be used for website background or for icon background. All of them are seamless.

Sawyer tutorial

Blah, I am bored and so I'll write a couple of tutorials. They create a shiny effect and sunset-like effect.

First off I think this tutorial can be translated in PS because I use PSP8. Second join the photobox to get a HQ pic of Sawyer..or any other of the Lost Cast.

Once I have my pic and I crop and resize it into 100x100 icon size and sharpen it.

- original base

- Duplicate and set to screen

- Add new layer and fill it with a solid black color and set the blend mode to soflight

- Add new layer and fill it with #38435A and set blend mode to exclusion

- Copy the bottom layer and drag it all the way up to the top and set the blend mode to softlight

>> Take gradient like this and set blendmode to hardlight (dont know where i got the gradient from...) merge layers.

- Duplicate and set to burn at 50% opacity. Finished icon...feel free to use. just credit.
