I love to read about food. American chef & food writer Ruth Reichl is right up there on my list--here on Substack with her column La Briffe, and on my nightstand (Tender at the Bone). War correspondent Sidney Olson loved food--alot--and my next post will be about the things he ate while following the battlefront in Europe in 1945. Nourishment and culture were his lifelines while witnessing the worst of times.
