Dear fma_chorus members:

It is with a very heavy heart that I announce that as of today, fma_chorus is at its end. We've been suffering severe lack of participation for several months, and my co-mods, sirhellsing420 and dragon_gypsy, have valiantly tried their best to help me boost numbers here. The sad truth is that the Fullmetal Alchemist fandom has seen a rapid decrease in interest, now that the anime is long over, the movie is out and has been for a while, and all that's left is the manga (a reason, I feel, that the fandom shouldn't dismiss). The interest of icon-making in the FMA fandom is simply not there anymore to the degree that it is worth the enormous amount of work that each of the mods here put in weekly to maintain such a community like this. Without the interest, it simply isn't worth it.

I extend my profound appreciation and thanks to those of you who have been participating. I came into this community first as a participant, than as a co-mod, then finally as maintainer. We've reached nearly two years of running, and that's a monumental accomplishment for any icontest. I would also like to thank my co-mods, sirhellsing420 and dragon_gypsy, for their continuing support and help. It pains us to have to come to this decision, but it's best to let the community retire with dignity, than disappear into obscurity.

Our current theme, which was to end tonight, had only one participant. Because of the lack of competition, I'm sorry to say our community has ended with last week's theme.

Thank you once again, and I wish everyone luck and the best in all your future icon-making exploits ^_^

Since we're so close to Christmas right now we'll wait until December 22nd, 2006 to post the next theme.
