Greeting

Following a long tradition of scientific events since the inaugural conference in Groningen, the Netherlands, in 1978, the International Flow Measurement Conference (FLOMEKO) 2026 will be held in Nara, Japan, from 17 to 20 May 2026. This event will mark the commemorative 20th Conference of IMEKO TC9 (Flow Measurement).

FLOMEKO is recognised as one of the most important international conferences in the field of flow measurement by researchers worldwide. It brings together experts from all over the world to present advances in flow measurements and related areas. The conference provides a platform for stimulating discussion and exchanging ideas for future advancement of the respective research themes.

Attendees will have the opportunity to connect with flow measurement experts from industry, national metrology institutes, academia, calibration laboratories, manufacturers, and other stakeholders worldwide. The conference will also offer an ideal environment to foster new collaborations across fundamental research, practical applications, and product development in flow measurement.

We warmly welcome you and assure you of an unforgettable experience in Nara, an ancient Japanese city with a rich historical heritage. We look forward to seeing you there.

With warmest regards,

The Organizing Committee
