Anyone have an Idea what Language the firmware is written in, so that a new firmware can be written to addressed expanding the Date? This is year 2024 and my flip will longer bring up the setup screen after a battery change.
The Flip 5.12 software seems to only allow setting the Flip camera's recording date up to the year 12020. Has anyone found a solution? Ideally an update to the software?
Harold, I took three videos today that went to the December 2020 folder. I manually created a December 2022 folder to which I dragged the new folders. Once there, I manually changed the dates of each video from 12/21/2020 to 12/21/2022.
I have no videos on the camera (erased them) however the time shows only 1 hour and 13 minutes available on the camera. Why does it not go back to 2 hours available if the camera is empty?
Suzanne, It seems the camera can be used as a storage device. I have been able to move videos to it but they aren't viewable on the camera but can be viewed if the camera is connected to a computer. Once you remove those videos from the camera onto the computer if you want the videos then reformat the camera and you will have your two hours back.
I don't have a company and I am retired. How do I set up a private account to share my photos and videos with friends and families. I need to know if flipshare is not web shared ..example Youtube.
