On March 8, 2025, Rotterdam Fire District 2 volunteers were called out for a reported structure fire on Vischer Avenue. Upon arrival, they found a 1-1/2 story house with heavy smoke and flames engulfing the rear. Mutual aid from several area departments arrived to assist. The fire was brought under control in less than an hour. No injuries were reported.
