Members of the Hackensack Fire Department, current and retired, and firefighters from surrounding communities honored the five firefighters killed in the Hackensack Ford dealership fire in 1988. Because of Covid-19 the department made the ceremony available to the public via their social media pages. Prior to the memorial service starting there was a sun shower, after which a rainbow appeared over the area where the memorial is located.
