Virginia Department of Fire Programs (VDFP) Special Operations held its inaugural basic aircraft fire fighting program in collaboration with Newport News/Williamsburg Airport. The first four days of class were conducted at Newport News/Williamsburg Airport with the fifth day of live fire burns at Roanoke/Blacksburg Airport.
