Bottlenecking
and other excuses
I… just wanted to keep everyone in the loop, especially since by this point last year we already had a couple of releases out. Things are still moving along behind the scenes. Right now, we’ve mostly finished two upcoming books. One is currently waiting on blurbs, and the other will be a slow rollout, and a third is waiting for a final story.
We’re also in various stages of putting together a handful of anthologies, and the reading pile is currently about a dozen books deep. Things are moving along steadily, even if some of it happens entirely behind the scenes.
I’m also putting together One of Us 2 for September and trying to line up sponsors, which, so far, has been a bit like nailing Jell-O to the wall. If you haven’t tried it, it’s a fun afternoon. I’ve also been trying to line up a few more events where we can schlep our wares around the Midwest.
For now, we’ll be in Iowa City this Friday at Daydreams Comics, next month at the Rewind Book Fair in Minneapolis, and there’s also a signing in Illinois in the works that should be announced soon.
As always, I appreciate everyone’s patience. Running a small press means things sometimes move a little slower than I’d like, but I’m excited about what’s coming together and can’t wait to share more soon.
Currently reading: A submission by one of my favorite Filthy Loot regulars.
Currently listening: Fantastic Planet score
Currently watching: Old one, but I watched Time Bandits for the first time the other night. So now I’m down to Jabberwocky and a couple of Gilliam’s more recent movies to knock off my TBW.

I've nailed jello before...probably not in the way you're talking about actually. Looking forward to the new stuff.
