omg it's been half a year since i've updated this thing

how is anyone still around

i love you guys how are youuuuu

Everything's the same here. Work followed by food followed by internet followed by sleep is how every day of the last six months has gone for me. Literally nothing exciting has happened. But it's all good. I like my routine (despite the crippling loneliness that is sneaking up on me slowly lol). 

I can't believe I only have two months of my first year of teaching left. I remember way back when being on here and freaking out with all of you about what it would be like to have my own classroom and now I've experienced almost a year of it and ajhdfasdgfkajdf CRAZINESS.

I'm gonna get so drunk after that last day of school. 

In fandom news, I'm still loving the fuck out of Parks and Rec, I've recently become obsessed with Once Upon a Time (BELLE AND RUMPELSTILTSKIN Y'ALL!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!), I'm excited to see baby Bones, I want to marry Josh Hutcherson (I won't get to see The Hunger Games for another two weeks SHOOT ME NOW), LEGEND. OF. KORRA., the new Doctor Who companion seems adorable, and I want to start a polygamous relationship with Adam Scott, Amy Poehler, and Emily Deschanel.

Anyhoo, just wanted to pop by and say hello and see how everyone's doing! I miss being over here and I miss talking with all of you. 

I'm leavin' on one.

Just forewarning y'all that this might become an actual journal while I'm in Amsterdam and Ireland. GASP I KNOW.

I'm bringing my little netbook with me on my trip, so if I can somehow hack into a wireless internet source, or bum the internet off of my cousin, I will be writing about my trip on here, solely for the purpose of getting the memories written down while they're still fresh in my brain. 

I'm leaving Alaska at 5 pm on Tuesday and I'll (hopefully) be getting into Amsterdam around 5 pm the following day (we have a 3 hour layover in Germany). And I'll be heading back home on the 28th.

ANYWAY I'm super excited and nervous and ajfdhkjasdfhkasd it's gonna be crazy and fun and I can't wait to share pictures with all of you! :D

I'm curious, what is your absolute FAVORITE thing about summer? Sights? Smells? Activities?

I need to get in a summer-y mood, and that's hard when it's cloudy and chilly out all the time lately. :P Good ol' Alaska.

Can someone please invent a teleportation device within the next few months so that I can go to London to see David Tennant and Catherine Tate in Much Ado About Nothing?

BUT HAI EVERYONE I'M STILL ALIVE.

And since we last spoke I

~finished my internship (!)
~graduated college (!!)
~got a teaching job (!!!)

Everything has happened so quickly and insanely and I'm still trying to wrap my head around the fact that I will be a second grade teacher this fall! At the same school I had my internship! WHERE I WENT TO ELEMENTARY SCHOOL WHEN I WAS A WEE LASS.

I don't feel like I'm ready AT ALL, but after my Europe trip, I'm gonna take the entire month of July to set up my classroom and plan, plan, plan.

And it's honestly the most perfect situation I could have ever asked for. Now it's up to me to not fail horribly, lol!

It's been a while, eh?

I'm still around, somewhat. RL has taken over completely now. I'm currently doing my full time student teaching (basically I'm in control of the classroom all day every day for the next month) and my free time has flown out the window, as was expected. I'm picking up my supervisor from the airport tomorrow morning and she will be observing me for 3 days this week. D: To say I'm nervous is an understatement. I'm sure it'll be fine, but I always enter MEGA DEATH STRESS MODE whenever my supervisor is in town. lol

I CANNOT WAIT 'TIL THURSDAY BECAUSE MY SUPERVISOR WILL BE GONE AND BONES IS BACK YAYAYAYAYAY

SPEAKING OF BONES, CAN WE JUST TAKE A MINUTE AND TALK ABOUT THIS INTERVIEW, PLEASE?
