FidoLED is a LED Screen calculator. Dial up the manufacturer, the model and then enter the size you want in Modules (tiles), Pixels, Metres, MM, Inches or feet and it will return to you the number of pixels for the given screen, the width, height and weight of the screen plus the power draw for the screen. It will also generate a print out of the information as well as generate grids of the led screen in pixels for helping to make pixel mapped content, you can spit out just the actual screen in pixels, or set on a standard video canvas with or without a pixel shift offset, or as a photoshop script file so that you can modify it in photoshop for the more creative screens. FidoLED was originally written for the PM's and Techs of Creative Technology (CT) the Database is very heavy on CT owned tiles. There is a small CT Logo in a red circle to the right of the make and model selection - to see every tile in the database just tap the CT Logo so that its crossed out and you will see all the tiles in the database, to see only the CT Owned tiles tap the CT logo again and it will filter the database to tiles owned by them I can add ANY make and model of tile VERY QUICKLY to the database, the majority of the time I am on PST so depending on when a request email is received, turn around time can be very quick and i will email you back when the database has been updated. Tap on the FidoLED logo on the main page and you will be presented with a form where you can fill in the information asking me to add the LED make and model you want. As more makes and models are added to the Database I will send a notification message (Push Notification) to let you know the is a database update for the app. If FidoLED is in use at the time it will grab the database automatically, if its not then just select the notification message and it will open FidoLED and update the Database. You can also manually update to the most current Database by taping on the Database Update button on the bottom left of the main screen (the second icon to the left) If you have any questions or comments about this application please feel free to email me [email protected]

Version History Added a back up Database server for when the main one has fallen over. Also packaged with the latest July 2025 Database as the default database 1.2.4 07/14/2025 Added in a Keyboard so the make and model can be filtered by its first letter, press * will reset the list to all. 1.2.3 12/28/2022 V1.2.2 is a maintenance release, iOS doesn't let me download files to permanent storage i.e where the app is stored, so when the app first runs it checks to see if the database is in temporary storage, if its not it copies in the shipped database, this is why sometimes you could swear a product was in the database but it's not there, its because after some undetermined amount of time, when your device needs the space it will clear out the temporary storage and with it the current database you have been using, the app loads again and moves the shipped database across, and you are now using an out of date database. Well now I am forcing a download of the most current database after the app is loaded, if it can grab the latest one you are set, if for some reason it can't it will just move the shipped one to temporary storage. - this has been bugging me for a while, and is probably why I get a lot of repeat asks for products that are already in the database from iOS users, so this should fix that. 1.2.2 11/27/2022 Added the ability to get a screen size based on the desired Pixel count. Added in the calculation for the number of ROE 4 and 2 way brackets needed for a screen based on tiles needed. Updated the database to the most current version. 1.2.1 11/02/2022 this is a roll back to a previous version after the discovery of a major bug 1.1.24 08/09/2021 Added the latest version of the FidoLED Database as the default installed database, changed the keyboard for entering numbers to one that has a decimal point on per a request and also added the calculation of ROE 4 and 2 way brackets for certain ROE tiles to make life easier for some of us that are fed up calculating them manually for our orders. 1.1.23 08/04/2021 Updated to the install to have the latest database as its base database. Changed the way the app send out emails, not it will use the share dialog instead, this means the default mail app no longer has to be configured before you can generate grids or send PDF's made it possible to hid the CT filter, this is done in the settings for the app in the general settings page. V1.1.21 11/27/2019 Fixed database ordering to true A-Z regardless of case, also fixed a bug with text size if the pixel aspect ratio was larger than 2:1 and took the opportunity to add the latest database to the app. V1.1.19 08/16/2019 Added some preference files to maintain the chosen units between Metric and Imperial, and also it now remembers the last used manufacture and model from the last time the app was used - both are feature requests I finally found time to add. As a bonus I also now keep the selected voltage between sessions too. I also updated the base database to the latest one. 1.1.17 02/28/2019 Added 4K Canvases to the grid generator, updated the Core Database to the most current version as of the 17th of February 2019, and fixed the bug that caused grids to be generated too large for iPhone Plus and iPhone X devices. 1.1.14 02/21/2019 I have changed the way I do push notifications, so now there is more information available with the message, like what products were added in a database update. Included the most up to date version of the database as the base database. 1.1.13 06/11/2018 I have added a dedicated Database Update button, this was previously a tap on the bottom left icon, but not any more. Once tapped the application will manually go and grab the latest database and update the app. I have also added a Facebook button to take you to the FidoLED facebook page, this is where I currently post what updates I have made to the database before I send a push notification. I have also bundled the latest current version of the database with this release. 1.1.12 11/05/2017 Bug fix, the app didn't display decimal's for tiles in MM that were a fraction of a mm - the infiled S1.8 for example. Thank's to Jason for pointing it out. Also Fixed the issue with Users in China not being able to get database update notifications or being able to get the latest databases manually. - Luckily I was in China to solve this one! 1.1.10 03/20/2017 I added a preference setting to let the user default FidoLED to starting in the CT list Filtered, or Unfiltered mode, this is done from within the setting in iOS 1.1.8 10/21/2016 small bug Fix, selecting a custom canvas when generating a grid gave an error. 1.1.7 01/14/2016 In this version you now have the option to number every tile in the generated grid, you can also specify an offset number so that the grid starts at the number of your choosing. 1.1.6 12/06/2015 A few interface tweaks to make it look nice on iOS9 - updated to use the latest Database, and now I pop up a message if the user wants to go back to the shipped Database 1.1.3 10/07/2015 1.1.0 08/06/2015
