This has added zest and fillip to the momentum of development in the Faculty of Engineering, UNIDEL.

Message of hope to my students is that they should believe in themselves and have confidence that with the facilities in the Faculty and the training programme on board, they should be prepared to become pathfinders and pacesetters to their generation.

1. We have instituted a price of #20,000 for the best student in the faculty at each level of study. The price will be accompanied with a letter of commendation. That would encourage the students to work harder to excel academically. UNIDEL Senate has approved this proposal.

2. We have set up an annual competition for students' innovative practical projects beginning at 200 level. A panel of experts will assess the projects and prices will be awarded to both individual and group projects. That would stimulate interest and passion in innovation and creative inventions.

3. The Faculty is setting up machinery to have discussions with key industry stakeholders in Nigeria with a view to develop MOU to provide industry placements for UNIDEL Engineering Students to carry out hands-on industrial training. Thus, providing an enabling platform to embed practical skills in our students.

4. Our SWEP programme has commenced. Even at the very first year (100 level). Thus, sending an important message that UNIDEL is not like others. We are resolutely determined to raise a crop of graduates who are solution providers, pacesetters and trailblazers showing leadership in creativity, innovation and inventive thinking. Making UNIDEL a World Class University, towering above others in Nigeria, Africa and globally is our creed.
