kyle quit the band!

or i did. or i will. i'm doing the two gigs we have this weekend, then i'm gone. the reason is mainly just artistic differences. the band (valhalla) is kinda moving away from me... or well.. no, i'm moving away from them. our setlist now includes iron maiden, chuck berry, irish music, acoustic strummy songs... not realy intelligent music. not something you listen to and go "wow!" because there's a piece of genius in the composition; not 15-minute songs that flow as if they're alive and running through you... it used to be fun to play them and stuff, but now it's getting boring. i dunno. i need more stimulation. so i quit the band. i'm not bothered about it.. i told shane and he agreed with me. i try, every so often, to think of a song we could play: new born, house of the rising sun, a song i think is a good compromise.... i get listened to alright, but they just don't like the idea. i won't miss it, it was fun though.
