Explore.
No, that title actually has nothing to do with the post. it went yeow -> guitar -> my guitar is an explorer -> explore. i don't really have much to say, there's really only one thing occupying my thoughts at the moment (annoyingly, as it's distracting from music, which is what i used to think about 24/7), and i've got nothing to say about that.
i jammed with the band today... m'new drummer too, he's really good. we haven't jammed in like over a month, and we recorded a song in that time... or well, i didn't as i was doing my leaving cert, but the song was recorded (firefly; a rather good song i must say, acoustic) with another guitarist, and i missed it and i didn't get to do my really cool smooth improvised solo... darn. so we'll have to do it again.. i think we came second in a big gig in dunlavin so we got like 4 hours studio time. so we'll do it then... we have to write some more stuff too though...
oh and our singer's on holidays and our bassist couldn't be arsed appearing. lazy fecker. actually, for lack of anything else to do, the line-up of my band.
me (james): guitar
shane: guitar
eggs: bass
niamh: singer, and also acoustic guitar on some songs if she feels like it.
kev: drums
we are valhalla, and we're rather good i think.
man i love steve vai.... this piece is lotus feet... basically he got an entire orchestra, full romantic one, timpani and everything, to back him up. it's incredible. amazing... (sorry that particular word has (i think) particular significance for me)
but i want to make this perfectly clear. I'm not in love. ok? NOT. i have good reasons for saying this... and you're not getting them! nyah nyah nyeh nyah nyah.
seeyas :)
